When was the last time you did something that pushed you out of your comfort zone?
I recently watched a video series by Chris Croft and he introduced me to a new goal-setting formula that I’d never heard of: SPVEM
I’m sure we’re all familiar with the SMART goals framework.
SPVEM had an interesting twist on creating goals.
Scary
Positive
Visualisable
Emotional/Exciting
Measurable
What captivated me is S for Scary. I loved the idea of setting a challenge that pushed me outside of my comfort zone.
Introducing the 30 day blogging challenge.
When I first started this blog, its aim was to discover new green spaces in South East London, even though I still hope to share the wonders of nature with you. I wanted to use my blog as a platform to help other creative women create healthy habits that lead them to success.
Since starting my own healthy habits journey, my perspectives of what is possible have completely changed, I never thought I would get back into running again, or be confident to go to the gym alone or cook a unique meal that was both fun healthy and quick. But all this has been possible in a short space of time.
When it comes to blogging, I’ll be the first one to put my hand up and say I’m not the most consistent. Even though you’re writing about something you love, it can be hard to get into the rhythm of writing regularly. So hopefully through this challenge I’ll be able to become more accountable.
It’s definitely scary, It’s positive, I can visualise myself pressing publish each day, I’m excited and It’s measurable, I’ve set time aside each day to sit down and write, today is day 1.
Do you have a goal that you want to achieve but you think it’s too hard or too scary?
Let me know in the comments and we can grow together in achieving our goals.
